**Português** **_Aparentemente incompreendido._** Este filme conta a história de Christine Brown, uma mulher modesta que, por querer uma promoção e se sentir desprezada pelos pais do namorado rico, acaba por ser responsável pela miséria de uma velha cigana húngara, a Sra. Ganush, quando lhe recusa dilatar o prazo para pagar um empréstimo bancário. Em retaliação, ela lança-lhe uma maldição terrível que ameaça, em três dias, atirar a alma dela às profundezas do inferno. Este filme marca o retorno de Sam Raimi aos filmes de terror onde ele foi tão feliz no passado, com sucessos como "Evil Dead", um filme que revisita aqui, nalgumas cenas e detalhes. Sim, porque ele não só dirige o filme como também é um dos principais argumentistas. No elenco podemos destacar dois nomes que realmente brilharam: o primeiro é claramente Lorna Raver, uma actriz veterana com enorme talento que fez a maior parte da sua carreira no teatro, apesar de alguns papéis discretos no cinema. Ao participar deste filme no papel da principal antagonista, a Sra. Ganush, ouso dizer que ela fez o seu papel mais proeminente na indústria até ao momento e que essa foi uma aposta muito sábia: ela conseguiu fazer um personagem desprezível e repugnante, o que contribui imenso para a tensão dramática. Outro nome que merece parabéns é Alison Lohman, que interpreta a protagonista, Christine, e facilmente capta a nossa simpatia. Ela não é tão diferente assim de qualquer um de nós. Quem nunca foi pressionado por um chefe para cumprir certos objectivos no emprego e acabou fazendo coisas que não queria? É um personagem psicologicamente complexo, que passa por uma "evolução" moral através do filme, tornando-se mais altruísta. Outra coisa que faz com que Lohman mereça parabéns é o facto de que ela fez quase todas as cenas do filme sem recorrer a duplos. Eu acho que muitas pessoas não entenderam este filme. Reconheço que usa muitas "receitas" e "fórmulas" usadas noutros filmes de terror e pode tornar-se previsível... mas acho que esse é um problema menor em comparação com os oceanos, absolutamente obscenos, de sangue, vómitos e tripas que vemos nalguns filmes e que não trazem nada de positivo à arte do cinema de terror. Nestes dias, contudo, é mais fácil assustar desta forma do que usar meios mais elaborados. Talvez seja por isso que "Drag Me to Hell" não alcançou o reconhecimento que eu acho que merece. É um filme que funciona bem e assusta, nos deixa sob tensão como se achássemos que o castigo de Brown era muito forte para o erro que cometeu. Mas Brown é a única que parece pensar que pode escapar facilmente da fúria que despertou. Apesar dessa relativa previsibilidade e de alguns detalhes cómicos a despropósito, é um óptimo filme de terror. **English** **_Appearantly misunderstood_** This film tells the story of Christine Brown, a modest woman who, for wanting a promotion and feeling despised by her rich boyfriend's parents, is ultimately responsible for the misery of an old Hungarian gypsy, Mrs. Ganush, when she refuses to postponed the deadline to pay a bank loan. In retaliation, she sends her a terrible curse that threatens, within three days, to throw her soul into the depths of hell. This film marks the return of Sam Raimi to horror films where he has been so happy in the past, with hits like "Evil Dead", a film he revisits here, in some scenes and details. Yes, because he not only directs the film but also is one of the main screenwriters. In the cast we can highlight two names that really shone: the first is clearly Lorna Raver, a veteran actress with tremendous talent who did most of his career in theater, despite some discrete roles in the cinema. While taking part in this film as the main antagonist, Mrs. Ganush, I dare say that she has played her most prominent role in the industry so far and that this was a wise bet: she succeeded in making a despicable and disgusting character, which immense contribution to the dramatic tension. Another name that deserves congratulations is Alison Lohman, who plays the protagonist, Christine, and easily captures our sympathy. She is not that different from any of us. Who has never been pressured by a boss to fulfill some goals and ended up doing wrong things? Its a psychologically complex character, who goes through a moral "evolution" through the film, becoming more altruistic. Another thing that makes Lohman deserve to be congratulated is the fact that she did almost every scene in the movie without resorting to stunts. I think a lot of people did not understand this movie. I recognize that it uses a lot of "recipes" and "formulas" used in other horror films and may become predictable... but I think this is a minor problem compared to the absolutely obscene oceans of blood, vomit and guts we see in some films that do not bring anything positive to the art of horror movies. In these days, however, it is easier to scare this way than to use more elaborate means. Maybe that's why "Drag Me to Hell" has not achieved the recognition I think it deserves. It's a film that works well and frightens us, puts us under strain as if we think Brown's punishment was too strong for the mistake he made. But Brown is the only one who seems to think he can easily escape the fury he aroused. Despite this relative predictability and some comic-to-nonsense details, it's a terrific horror film.
